Our most recently installed window by Mark Angus (born 1949) is inspired by Ezekiel 47:12:

On the banks, on both sides of the river, there will grow all kinds of trees for food. Their leaves will not wither nor their fruit fail, but they will bear fresh fruit every month, because the water for them flows from the sanctuary. Their fruit will be for food, and their leaves for healing. (©NRSV)

The glass was commissioned to mark the Millennium. Mindful of the traditional style of the existing windows in the building the decision was made to seek a good example of contemporary art. A number of artists was approached but most of the proposals were judged to be unimaginative. The Vicar at the time, the Revd Canon Paul Rampton, was familiar with the ‘Daily Bread’ window at Durham Cathedral which, Rampton recalled, glowed brightly even on the darkest north-eastern day. Angus said he would not submit a design until he had travelled from his home in Somerset, and spent some hours alone in the church before preparing the successful proposal.
