Covering the parishes of of Steyning and Ashurst 

The Vicar and PCC of Steyning and the Rector and PCC of Ashurst comply with their respective obligations under the Data Protection Act 1998 and the General Data Protection Regulation  (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) by: keeping personal data up to date; by storing and destroying it securely; by not collecting or retaining excessive amounts of data; by protecting personal data from loss, misuse, unauthorised access and disclosure and by ensuring that appropriate technical measures are in place to protect personal data.

We use your personal data: (a) to enable us to provide a voluntary service for the benefit of the public especially within our parishes; (b) to administer membership records; (c) to fundraise and promote the interests of the charity; (d) to manage our employees and volunteers; (e) to maintain accounts and records including the processing of gift aid applications; (f) to inform you of our news and events including church services; and (g) to share your contact details outside the parish only as required by relevant legislation or other reasonable and lawful reason including the requirements of the Church Representation Rules (as amended from time to time) and other relevant legislation.

You can at any time withdraw or change your consent to the promissory processing of your personal data by contacting the Parish Office, Penfold Hall, Church Street, Steyning BN44 3YB or by emailing office@steyningparishchurch.org. All future processing of your personal data will cease once you have withdrawn such consent other than where this is required by law.

The Vicar and Churchwardens of Steyning are the Information Controller in respect of the Parish of Steyning.

The Rector and Churchwardens of Ashurst are the Information Controller in respect of the Parish of Ashurst.

Steyning PCC is a registered charity, number 1132913. Ashurst PCC is a separate charity and exempt by status from registration
