Collect
Almighty and everlasting God,
you have given us your servants grace,
by the confession of a true faith,
to acknowledge the glory of the eternal Trinity
and in the power of the divine majesty to worship the Unity:
keep us steadfast in this faith,
that we may evermore be defended from all adversities;
through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord,
who is alive and reigns with you,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever.

Sermon
Note that there is no 9:30am Holy Communion today; instead there is a Churches Together ecumenical service at 10:30 in the ‘Big Top’ opposite the church, to mark the end of Steyning Festival. We hope to be able to record the talk at that service and upload it to the Sermons page after the service.
Note too that the reading for this service will be Matthew 28:16-20.

Sunday Evenings
We normally have an evening service at 6pm on Sundays.
- On the first Sunday of the month this is Reflections, built around a period of quiet contemplation.
- On the second Sunday of each month we are currently holding an outdoor fire pit service – lasting about 30 minutes, and followed by marshmallows, toasted on the fire. This is held beside the tower, or in the porch during poor weather.
- We have Choral Evensong on the third Sunday of the month (except in August, when the choir is on holiday, and December, when we have Christmas choral evening services).
- On the fourth Sunday of the month at 6pm there is usually a Taizé service held in the chancel.
- Otherwise, on second and fifth Sundays (when there is one), there is usually a quiet evening prayer service in our Cuthman Chapel, using the traditional language of the Book of Common Prayer.
These times and dates may change according to season or special events, please refer to our calendar or the current notice sheet.
Weekday Services
Our weekly 11:30am WEDNESDAY EUCHARIST takes place in the chancel. On the last Wednesday of the month this usually includes prayers for healing.
MORNING PRAYER is usually said in the Cuthman Chapel each weekday at 8:30am from Monday to Thursday.
