Families and Children
Our Families and Children’s Worker is Gary Pickett. He works closely with our Church of England school, Steyning Primary.
As well as our regular Baby and Toddler Group ‘Little Stars’, held every Thursday morning at 9:30am in the Penfold Hall, Gary puts on a number of other family-friendly events, as described below.
Each session will have a variety of crafts and activities. with drinks available.
There is a suggested donation for each child of £2.

FIRE PIT SERVICE
Come and join us in the churchyard of St Andrew’s and St Cuthman’s church for a short informal service starting at 6pm on the second Sunday of the month.
Our next service is Sunday, 14 September
The service will include a reading, short talk, prayer, worship and toasting and eating marshmallows together at the end

Children’s Church
Our new look Children’s Church has now started and we would love to see anyone who is primary school age come and join us.
Our sessions will include crafts, teaching and worship. We will start in church at the 9.30 service then head out to our group and will return to join the rest of the church family for the Eucharist
We have a dedicated team who are all very excited about sharing the Bible with children.

Bumps, Baby and Toddler Group
Come and join us on a Thursday morning from 9.30 am until 11.30am we have lots of different play areas in the hall for your little star to explore.
Come and join us for refreshments and home made cakes for the adults while your little star has fun playing.
we ask for a small suggested donation of £2 per family as this just helps the group run and also to invest in the group to enhance your stars experience.

Meet new people, have a cuppa and play some board games!
Try playing a new game, or why not bring your favourite one along?


All ages and board game experience welcome. If under 18’s are attending, please be aware that this is not a club where child supervision will be provided.

Family Camp
The weekend had a great atmosphere with families coming together from all around the Diocese. for worship, games, activities and social time around the camp fire in the evenings.


The theme for the weekend was around Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We can’t wait for next years family camp and we hope that you will join us.

Advent Stir Up
Advent Stir Up was a great event where we had lots of activities going on in the church during the morning of 30th November.
Activities included wreath making, Christmas pudding making, Christmas card making, decorations and stars.


The morning was a great success with lots of people in attendance we can’t wait until Christmas 2025 to see what fun can be had at this event.

Christingle
Our Christingle service took place on Sunday 8th December and the church had a really nice atmosphere, we made our Christingles had a talk about sharing our light and the church looked and felt Christmassy.


Breakfast & Boardgames
Come and join us for our half term event and enjoy breakfast and some board games and its only £5 for the whole family
Breakfast will include cereal and bacon baps.

Pancakes and Coffee
Come and join us on Shrove Tuesday in the church from 3.15pm until 5.15pm for freshly made pancakes and lots of different toppings to add to your pancake come and share in this with us as we celebrate the last day before the start of lent.
Come eat, drink and chat with us.
Donations for the pancakes will be greatly welcomed to help us cover our costs.


Easter
Messy Church
Come and join us on Monday 7th April
for lots of crafts, story and refreshments.
we will have a great time together looking at Easter.
