Our next Choral Evensong will take place on 15 February, when we will celebrate our joint Patronal Festival of St Cuthman. The service will include a sermon from Bishop Nicholas Reade, an Assistant Bishop of our Diocese and a former Archdeacon of Lewes and Hastings. Bishop Nicholas was Bishop of Blackburn before his retirement in 2012.

At the annual meetings after the Music Group Eucharist on Sunday, 19 April, the Annual Parish Meeting, elected Kate Burnett and Judie Thomson as churchwardens. The Annual Parochial Church Meeting elected Sarah Lavery (retiring churchwarden) as a PCC member; John Downe was not eligible to stand again, having completed two consecutive terms, and Liz Trundle did not stand for re-election. Three of the four deanery synod representatives were re-elected – Brian Hanson is retiring on 30 June, the end of this synod year. Report documents can be found here.
