Open to all who are feeling lonely, have suffered any form of loss and are looking to talk, or listen, to those who understand how you may be feeling. All welcome, of any faith or none.

No, not another bookshop crime writers’ event, but a fascinating presentation from the Friends of Steyning Parish Church, on Saturday 30 November (St Andrew’s Day), starting at 4pm in church. This free event, with a refreshment break, reveals the results of meticulous research by the Friends and Steyning Museum that found some of the names on our vicars’ board were not vicars of Steyning at all, while some ‘genuine’ vicars were missing from the list.

Our annual service of remembrance for the fallen in two World Wars and subsequent conflicts takes place this year on Sunday 10 November at 10:45am. All are welcome to attend. There will be a two

Our annual service of remembrance for the fallen in two World Wars and subsequent conflicts takes place this year on Sunday 10 November at 10:45am. All are welcome to attend. There will be a two minute silence at 11am. Wreaths will be laid at the war memorial in church, the Last Post and Reveille will be sounded and the names on the memorial read out. Please join us in singing the patriotic hymns and praying for peace in our world.
The usual Act of Remembrance will take place on Armistice Day (Monday 11 November) at the Memorial Garden.
